Some Less Than Jake to start the morning right. Last night was a lot less exciting than Friday, but the mellowness is good preparation for today... and probably the week as a whole. I got to see lots of everyone, though, which is unusual on a "good" night, when there's no reason to wander about. And Taco Bell at 2 AM. What's more typical of college? Matty D told me to read Cannibals and Kings and let me borrow his copy of the book. It shall be my next reading project. Off. Current Mood:  calm |

I'm back at Hendrix again after a full month at home. It's nice, in its own way. New term, new roomie, new classes. It's funny how avoiding someone or something just makes you think about it more. Our brains work in useful ways; I guess we usually need to think about the things that it would take less investment to avoid. Anyway, I have finals tomorrow and am just thinking to avoid studying. Kick ass. |

Because of the absolute lj-ness of this situation and my thoughts, I had to update. Whooo! After an abyssmal score on my last calculus test, I am left with two choices #1) I could find some aspect of myself that I like other than intelligence and develop it to compensate for my apparent stupidity. #2) I could hole myself up and constantly do work, taking this as a sign that I have grown complacent and lazy. This is my wake-up call to get my ass in gear and stop any destructive, habit-forming behaviors that take up my time! So, yes, indecision. Any thoughts, ideas, insults? This weekend was eventful. I met a lot of people. Rather nice people, many of them. A few so drunk they probably don't remember me. It's cool, though. I didn't really get drawn into the "partying" aspect of it all. I did enough to have fun and had a few really awesome one-on-one conversations amidst the din of partying college students. I'm glad my classes are so easy, although it makes it really easy for me to get bored. I'm used to a lot more homework and stress. Current Mood: calmCurrent Music: Kashmir |

They've agreed to let me try Calculus II and I placed into Spanish II. Odd. And the books for the classes I'm sure of cost $278.04 I still have one more I'm uncertain of. I'm glad about the job now. |
